Great Wall Of China

As you can see (pics below), we went to the Great Wall today, it was really good, but a long way up! One of my friends counted over 1,000 steps just to the wall, but as you walk along it it's actually really hilly! Spent some time walking across the top and taking pics, then came down again. But we didn't walk down, there is a toboggan slide which goes all the way down the mountain....I know you won't believe me but I'm not joking!! It was so much fun, but we didn't go that fast, because Kevin's one was broken and kept stopping! Fun though...

  3. Why was I surprised to see snow at the Great Wall? I don't know if the seasons in China are the same time as ours or not! Hope you are keeping warm enough. xx

  4. Is it at Mutianyu? The guide book says there is a "luge-like slide" and also a cable car. Can you get there by public transport? I like the sound of the cable car!

  5. We just like it all. Can we come and will I get the insurance? Glad you had a great time and meeting new people. Our day was more ordinary. We went for a meal near York to meet up with the liver group (8 transplantees and their partners). Royston

Mum: Yes that was it, you can take the cable car up if you don't want to walk, but you HAVE to take the slide down, it's soooo much fun!

Gramps: Would they really give you insurance to china? hahahaha... also what would you eat here? :P hope you had a nice liver meeting. i actually ate some liver today, they didn't tell me it was beef liver, they just said beef. yucky!!

The text is underlined because it has become part of the link to click on to get the bigger picture of you on the wall. I guess the trick is to type in the text first and insert the picture afterwards if that is possible.
